Interactive Whiteboard

Interactive Whiteboard

An interactive whiteboard is a piece of hardware that looks much like a standard whiteboard but it connects to a computer and a projector in the classroom to make a very powerful tool. When connected, the interactive whiteboard becomes a giant, touch-sensitive version of the computer screen.

Instead of using the mouse, you can control your computer through the interactive whiteboard screen just by touching it with a special pen (or, on some types of boards, with your finger). Anything that can be accessed from your computer can be accessed and displayed on the interactive whiteboard, for example Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, photographs, websites or online materials.

Using special software included with the interactive whiteboard, you can also interact with images and text projected on the board: rearranging them, changing their size, colour, etc. This offers a much more interactive experience than using a standard whiteboard or using a data projector alone.

Uses for interactive white board includes :

1. running software that is loaded onto the connected PC such as a web browser or proprietary software in   classroom.
2. capturing and saving notes written on a whiteboard to the connected PC.
3. capturing notes written on a graphic tablets connected to the whiteboard.
4. controlling the PC from the whiteboard using click and drag, markup.
using OCR software to translate cursive writing on a graphic tablet into text.

Advantages :

* the cost effective resources.
* quick and easy access toward the information
* safe search for searching in the internet.

Disadvantages :

- condemned because outstanding result in learning for students.
- to impact whole class, group, individual teaching and learning.
- teacher able to explore new ways of creating teaching.

Reflection

                                                Bismillahirrahmanirahim

ICT can give a lot of benefit for me like "technology in your finger tips". I agree that statement now. I love this ICT course and the important thing is I love to have and edit my own blog. Last but not least, special thanks to my lecturer, En Azmi Ibrahim that have thought a lot of new things for me and my  cursemate too

From this course, i have learned a lot of new things for me such as data logger, simulation technique, stella software. At the first, i don't like so much the technology that use ICT but after I taken this course, I feel there are something unique and interesting in this class and course too. I learned how to edit capture and print screen the image. Now, i have my own blog. Before this, I love to walking at the other's blog but now there are different!! I can share the important things to other through out my blog.

Stella Software is the new thing for me. Before this, I doesn't know the presence of that software that we can predict the economy status for our country for example. Now, I know that Stella can give a lot of benefits to us and I can use this software in my class one day after I become a teacher In Sha Allah. Furthermore, during the practical lab I learned a lot of thing such as print screen, edit image, movie maker and so on.

In addition, blog can share anything, can be a place that promote the business and many more. In blog, I learned how to create the e-Portfolio that includes my philosophy, resume, reflection, and project. In ICT class too, I also learned about the data logger that teach me how to decorate the experiment by using four steps which are engage, empower, enhance and extension. The sensor that we used, can give the reading automatically without any mistakes as the we doing it by our own.

Data Logging: Thermoregulation of human body due to extreme condition

What Is Data Logging
In general, data logging means of all data generated by a device such as a lab instrument, or the data passing through a particular point in a networked computer system. Data logging is a common measurement application. In its most basic form, data logging is the measuring and recording of physical or electrical parameters over a period of time. The data can be temperature, strain, displacement, flow, pressure, voltage, current, resistance, power, and many other parameters.
A wide range of products can be categorized as data loggers, from basic devices that perform a single measurement to more complex devices that offer analysis functions and integrated displays. In addition, data logging is used in a broad spectrum of applications. Chemists record data such as temperature, pH, and pressure when performing experiments in a lab. Design engineers log performance parameters such as vibration, temperature, and battery level to evaluate product designs. Civil engineers record strain and load on bridges over time to evaluate safety. Geologists use data logging to determine mineral formations when drilling for oil. Breweries log the conditions of their storage and brewing facilities to maintain quality. The list of applications for data logging goes on and on, but all of these applications have similar common requirements. One question that we should answer is ‘How this data logging works?’.

How data logging works?
Data logger works with sensors to convert physical phenomena and stimuli into electronic signals such as voltage or current. These electronic signals are then converted or digitized into binary data. The binary data is then easily analyzed by software and stored on a PC hard drive or on other storage media such as memory cards and CDs.
There are a few components that every data logger must have included:

·         Hardware to digitize what you are logging, including sensors, signal conditioning, and analog-to-digital conversion hardware
·         Long-term data storage, typically onboard memory or a PC
·         Data-logging software for data acquisition, analysis, and presentation
Follow these steps when using a data logger:

·         1. Connect sensors like heat sensor, resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), and accelerometers to the  data logger
·         2. Use your data-logging software to configure your data logger
·         3. Configure parameters like sample rate, alarms, and start or stop conditions for your data-logging task with    your data-logging software
·        4.  Run the data-logging task

·         After your hardware digitizes the sensor measurements, analyze and store your data for future use
The ability to take sensor measurements and store the data for future use is a important characteristic of a data logger. However, a data-logging application rarely requires only data acquisition and storage. Inevitably, you need the ability to analyze and present the data to determine results and make decisions based on the logged data. A complete data-logging application typically requires the elements illustrated below.

My Teaching Philosophy

Picture From :  http://conniehurst.com/services_provided/treatment_for_adhd

I BELIEVE THE CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE
I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.

TEACH THEM WELL AND LET THEM LEAD THE WAY
Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. I will present curriculum that involves the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active learners. Finally, I will tie learning into the world community to help children become caring and active members of society..

SHOW THEM ALL THE BEAUTY THEY POSSESS INSIDE
My classroom will be a caring, safe, and equitable environment where each child can blossom and grow. I will allow children to become responsible members of our classroom community by using strategies such as class meetings, positive discipline, and democratic principles. In showing children how to become responsible for themselves as well as their own learning, I am giving them the tools to become successful in life, to believe in themselves, and to love themselves.

LET THE CHILDREN'S LAUGHTER REMIND US HOW WE USED TO BE
Teaching is a lifelong learning process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies, learning from the parents and community, learning from colleagues, and especially learning from the children. Children have taught me to open my mind and my heart to the joys, the innocence, and the diversity of ideas in the world. Because of this, I will never forget how to smile with the new, cherish the old, and laugh with the children.

TIADA RIALITI SEINDAH FANTASI ..... :)

EX5

Tetapi ironinye mereka berdua sangat berbeza tetapi tidak dapat dipisahkan, kerana si REALITI  dan si FANTASI saling memerlukan diantara satu sama lain macam ADAM dan HAWA .. hahaha

kenapa aku cakap fantasi dan realiti saling memerlukan :

1. Fantasi yang terhasil daripada realiti

REALITInye Hafiz ada motor honda EX5, tapi Hafiz berFANTASI dia memiliki LC. Fantasi hafiz terhasil daripada reality.

2.  Realiti yang terhasil dari fantasi

manusia berFantasi untuk terbang dan after a very long time WILBUR berjaya mencipta kapal terbang Akhirnya, dapatlah manusia terbang :)

kapal terbang pertama di bina

jelas tak?? kalau tak jelas mesti ada someting wrong dengan kepala korang nie....hahaha

Conclusinya walaupun realiti tidak seindah fantasi, tetapi mereka saling memerlukan diantara satu sama lain <3 <3 <3 ....
